Shaoul+Howe is a contemporary art gallery directed by the unique vision of partners Sara Shaoul and David Howe, who previously founded 601 Artspace.  The gallery focuses on representing emerging artists with unusual practices and placing their work in dialogue with contemporary masters including Gerhard Richter, Maurizo Cattalan, Andreas Gursky, Cindy Sherman, and Thomas Struth.  Shaoul and Howe are able to offer works from both new and established voices through their unique combination of knowledge and experience.

Sara Shaoul, previously the director of 601 Artspace, joined Shaoul+Howe as an equity partner in 2021. Shaoul oversees gallery programming and artistic representation.  David Howe began his career in finance, before developing his private collection that would become the basis for 601 Artspace.  Howe’s artistic practice has been in development for over a decade as his collecting proved to become more than an education in art, but a passion to make it.  The partnership between Sara and David has allowed them to plan long term for the future of the gallery program and David’s new role alongside the artists they represent.  David is primarily responsible for overseeing secondary market operations and financial management.
